So here we are again it does not take long for a year to roll round and with fingers crossed and a date move to earlier in the year which we hoped would guarantee better weather than in previous years we were at last blessed with 20c sunshine all weekend . The track was prepped in the usual manner with heavy rolling Thursday night and Friday morning and with a little water pumped on to it to keep it moist Friday evening practice got underway at 6pm. There were 2 rounds of practice scheduled for Friday night the main reason for this was to control it but also to help clean any dust from the surface so it could be swept later that night and allow for a nice clean surface to start Saturday morning.

Saturday morning practice started and with the dust cleared and a clean line appearing the grip level started to come up. The format for this race with 7 rds of 10 min qualifying gives max track time with a limited number of entries so by the time the finals come round everyone knows the layout really well .It was local driver Bradley Baird who had managed to TQ the meeting by round 4 ahead of Graham Alsop these 2 had been 1st and 2nd in nearly every round all day and was laying the ground for a close final. Aaron Vance qualifying a really good 3rd and the rest of the field Richard Taylor, Jon Hazelwood, Richard Cree, Milan, Barkley, Gary Baird all bunched up with little between them.
