HNMC have secure the 2015 Euros B bid so their work has started to improve the already impressive venue with a new toilet block, wash and compressor cleaning bay, fixed benches and under cover pitting for 100 drivers.

The club are well known to run different layouts on the modular track and have now three main layouts depending on event numbers and requirements. This past weekends track was challenging with a multi surface of clay (75%) then concrete, block paving and astroturf. Qualifying was close as Lee Martin took the first round, however Elliot Boots stepped it up taking the next 4 rounds securing the TQ on day one. He was pushed hard by Lee Martin and Jon Hazlewood and although the track layout was more technical than 2013, the lap times were 1.5 seconds quicker.

The semi A descended into panic at the start with Elliot Boots breaking a shock end however a super quick repair by Mike Cradock got Elliot out but almost a lap down. Elliot starting from 7th made his way through the traffic hitting the front and then lapped the field during the A main! Darren Bloomfield took second with Graham Alsop taking 3rd on the last corner from Neil Cragg. The club would like to thank all that helped prepare and run this event which was a great start to the BRCA season.
